Terms of Service
The terms you agree to when you order sheet metal parts from TensorCut.
Last updated 7 September 2026
These terms govern your use of tensorcut.in and any order you place through it. By creating an account or paying for an order you accept them. If you are placing orders for a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
1. What TensorCut does
TensorCut is an online sheet metal fabrication service. You upload a 2D drawing, our system analyses the geometry and prices it, and once you pay we arrange for the part to be manufactured and delivered.
Manufacturing is carried out by independent fabrication businesses in our partner network, not by TensorCut directly. Your contract for the work is with us: we are responsible to you for the order, and we are responsible to the partner for paying them. You do not contract with the partner.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details. Delivery addresses and GST numbers are used exactly as you enter them.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- One person or business per account. Tell us at operations@tensorcut.in if you think someone else has access.
3. Your drawings, and what we do with them
You keep ownership of every file you upload. Nothing you upload becomes ours.
You give us permission to do the things that are necessary to make your part: store the file, analyse it, generate previews from it, and send it to the manufacturing partner assigned to your order, along with the specification. That is the whole of the permission. We do not use your drawings to market TensorCut, we do not show them to other customers, and we do not sell them.
You confirm you have the right to have the part made — that the design is yours, or that whoever owns it has agreed. We do not check this and cannot, so if a design turns out to infringe someone else's rights, that is on you rather than on us or on the partner who cut it.
4. Quotes and prices
- An automated quote is generated from the geometry we measure in your file. It is an offer to supply at that price, held for 7 days.
- A quote also stops being valid before then if we change the underlying catalogue — a material price, a cutting rate, a finish charge. You will be shown the new price rather than charged the old one.
- Where a part is too complex to price automatically, we say so and route it to our team rather than returning a number we do not stand behind.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and shown inclusive of 18% GST unless stated otherwise on the quote itself.
If a quote is obviously wrong — an arithmetic fault, a catalogue error, a price that is a fraction of the material cost — we may decline the order and refund you in full rather than manufacture at that price. We will tell you why. This is not a general right to reprice: it covers mistakes, not regret.
5. Placing an order
An order exists once payment is captured. Before that, a quote sitting in your cart is not a commitment by either of us. After that, see the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. What we manufacture to
We make the part described by the file you uploaded and the options you selected — material, thickness, process, finish, quantity. We do not interpret, correct or improve a drawing. If the file is wrong, the parts will be wrong in the same way.
Our automated checks flag some manufacturability problems (holes too small for the process, parts larger than stock sheet). They are a help, not a guarantee: passing them does not mean a design is fit for its purpose, and we do not review designs for function, load, safety or compliance.
Tolerances
Unless we have agreed something specific with you in writing, parts are supplied to general fabrication tolerances for the process used. Laser and plasma cutting leave a kerf, a heat-affected edge, and on thicker sections a measurable taper. If your part needs a tighter tolerance than the process gives, tell us before you order — email operations@tensorcut.in — so we can say whether it is achievable rather than deliver something that is not.
7. Payment
Payment is taken up front through Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials — those go directly to the payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the method used.
A tax invoice is issued for each order once payment is captured, stating the amount actually received.
8. Limits on what we are responsible for
If we get an order wrong — wrong material, wrong dimensions against your file, a defect in workmanship — we will remake it or refund it, as set out in the refund policy. That is the remedy.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — production downtime, lost contracts, lost profit, the cost of a delayed project — arising from a late, defective or cancelled order.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Things you must not do
- Order parts intended for use as weapons, or components of weapons, without the licences Indian law requires.
- Upload files you do not have the right to have manufactured.
- Attempt to bypass, script or overload the quoting system, or to submit configurations the site does not offer.
- Use the platform to counterfeit another company's product or branding.
We may refuse or cancel an order, and suspend an account, where we reasonably believe one of these has happened. Where we cancel, we refund what you paid.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published when you paid, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Before that, please email operations@tensorcut.in. Almost everything is faster to fix that way.
Who you are contracting with
