Shipping & Delivery Policy
Where TensorCut delivers, what lead times mean, and what to do if a consignment arrives wrong.
Last updated 7 September 2026
How parts get from a partner's shop floor to your door, and what the lead time on your order actually means.
1. Where we deliver
Anywhere in India. We do not currently ship internationally.
Delivery is to the address saved on the order. Check it before you pay — once a job is dispatched to a partner an address change may not be possible, and a redelivery to a corrected address is chargeable.
2. Lead times, and when the clock starts
This is the part worth reading carefully.
Lead time runs from when a manufacturing partner accepts your job, not from when you pay. Between those two points we are matching your order to a shop with the right machine, the right material in stock and free capacity. That matching normally takes about a working day, and occasionally longer for unusual materials or heavy gauges.
As a guide, for standard materials and gauges:
| Stage | Typical duration |
|---|---|
| Matching to a partner | Up to 1 working day |
| Cutting and forming | 2–5 working days |
| Surface finishing, where ordered | +2–4 working days |
| Transit | 1–5 working days, by distance |
These are estimates from ordinary practice, not a guarantee. Large quantities, thick plate, uncommon grades and multi-stage finishing all take longer. If your order has a real deadline, tell us at operations@tensorcut.in before you place it, so we can say whether it is achievable rather than let you find out afterwards.
3. Tracking your order
Your order page shows the stage the job is at — confirmed, assigned to a partner, in production, QC, shipped, delivered — and you get an email at each change. Once parts are handed to a carrier we pass on the tracking details we receive.
4. Delivery charges
Where a delivery charge applies to your order it is shown on the quote before you pay, and it is included in the total. We do not add charges after payment.
5. Receiving the parts
Please inspect the consignment on arrival.
- If the packaging is visibly damaged, note it on the carrier's proof of delivery before signing.
- Photograph anything that looks wrong, before unpacking further.
- Report shortages, transit damage or wrong parts within 7 days to operations@tensorcut.in. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for what happens then.
Sheet metal parts have sharp edges as cut. Handle them with gloves. Where a deburring or edge-break operation was not part of what you ordered, it was not performed.
6. If delivery fails
If nobody is available to receive the consignment, the carrier will normally attempt redelivery. Where an order comes back to us because the address was wrong or delivery was repeatedly refused, we will contact you to arrange redelivery at your cost. Made-to-order parts cannot be refunded in this situation — they were manufactured to your specification and cannot be sold to anyone else.
7. Delays
If your order is going to be materially late we will tell you rather than let the date pass quietly, and we will say why and what the new estimate is.
We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control — carrier disruption, transport strikes, weather, power or material supply failures at a partner's facility. Where a delay of that kind means the parts are no longer of use to you, contact us and we will look at it fairly.
